What Hath Boredom Wrought?

A vivaciously vivid venture, and venerable viewing vacation.

So

I recently finally read the book Fight Club. Its cliche to say, but I think it severely changed my perception of reality and the world we live in.

P.s. The book is far different than the movie.

Today

I go home… Bye Europe.

Made me laugh for an unexpectedly long time…

Happened

To see this as I was scrolling, and I thought it was an amazing line. I don’t know this Jerome, McKenzie, but his line “Calm down, you’re going to die anyway.” is fantastic.

Sidenote

I realize a lot of my posts seem as though they are negative or are expressing my dismay at my impending departure, and I feel I should clarify my actual thoughts. I am also happy that I am moving on. Water, when it sits still too long soon becomes the breeding ground for pestilence and corrosion; the human soul is very much the same way. If one stays doing the same thing for too long, the furrows for depression, anxiety, and laziness begin to form.  These sow the way for self destruction. When I throw my bag over my shoulder to head out on the tarmac, I am preventing these diseases of the soul from taking root, and turning my head back towards the blinding light of the future’s ineffable possibilities.

Packing

Is more than the condensing of your items into one carry-on sized bag, but the compartmentalizing of your experiences into what was and can never be again. The physical manifestation of the mental process if moving on. There is little that is as sobering and depressing as the act of packing.
